At the heart of an idea is not creativity, but courage
As
the story has it, the client didn’t agree with this idea, so the agency folk produced
it themselves, using their own models [the girl is the art director’s
girlfriend] and film makers who loved the idea; and hosted it on Youtube. It went
viral. Then the client ran it on TV.
Odd,
at the heart of an idea is not creative thinking, but courage.

How to take a company to task and entertain people.
Marketing is no longer a one-way street. If you give customers a bad experience, do so at your own risk. Today they have free media to spin information and if they are innovative, like this one, marketers may dearly regret their arrogance.
This customer not only got the company concerned to step down from its haughty position, he also provided huge entertainment to Youtube viewers, which sent his message viralling.

Arianna Huffington on Trends Today

Arianna Huffington started the world's first online newspaper, so naturally I am keen to tell you about another relevant, and very recent, piece of news:
The 80-year-old news magazine will see its last hard copy in December this year. It then goes online.
Changes in the magazine will take place, which reminds me of what an evolution scientist once said: Those who survive will not be the most intelligent, but the most adaptable.

viewers looking for shows to watch see the premium channels they are not subscribed to as a black screen with a
'Channel Not Available' message.
Now the only thing more infuriating than not knowing a story is
knowing only half the story.
HBO replaced the standard black screen message with
the actual broadcast, but only displayed content on the left-hand side of the
screen. The right-hand side carried subscription information such as the number to call
and the website to go to in order to buy the HBO premium package.
Subscriptions to HBO Premium
Package increased by 47% compared to the previous year before, and from an
average of 2% to 8% response.
Gold awarded in the Direct Category and Bronze in Media at Cannes 2012.
